St John the Baptist Broughton has a strong choral tradition.  The pipe organ in the Church had come to the end of its useful life and the new four manual and pedal Phoenix Digital organ was installed in April 2005. St John's used a three manual Phoenix demonstration instrument for a number of months before the new organ was completed. The new organ will play a major part in the continuing development of the  musical life at St. John's.

The new instrument has a fine four manual and Pedal Phoenix console with draw stops and a substantial audio system.  The specification of the organ is given below.
