The pipe organ in Leeds Cathedral was built in 1904 by Norman & Beard, contemporary with the building of the Cathedral.  The organ has been out of use for some years and an electronic instrument has been used.

Phoenix Organs are delighted that they been chosen to provide a new four manual and pedal organ for the Cathedral.  The Echo / Bombarde organ is played from the fourth manual. The specification was drawn up in consultation with Benjamin Saunders and the console built for Phoenix Organs by Renatus Ld. David Bostock supervised the installation of the instrument in  February 2005.
